Peace be upon you. All praise be to Allah. All praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And peace be upon the Master of Prophets and the Seal of the Messengers. And upon his family and companions and those who follow them with goodness until the Day of Judgment. And after that, I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate. He said, “O Allah, do not think that those who are killed in the cause of Allah will die. Rather, they will be brought to life by their Lord.” And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Hasan and Hussain are the masters of the youth of the people of Paradise.” And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever loves them loves me, and whoever hates them hates me.” Meaning, Hasan and Hussain. Or as the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ said, “Allah has been truthful, and His Messenger has been truthful.” So, read the Darsheeh, all of it. Listen to Allah.
Dear elders and dear brothers, the Day of Judgment is coming. It is a famous Surah, which means, “Jami’e Barakat” – a day which has been filled with blessings. This day was a day of respect and respect among the first nations. The Quraish of Mecca used to fast on this day. Hazrat Abu Musa Ash’ani (ra) says, “The day of the Ashura was celebrated as the day of the Jews, and the day of Ashura was celebrated as the day of the Jews.” And it is mentioned in Bukhari and Muslims that this day, the army of the Pharaohs was sunk in the sea of Qulzum.
So, Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas says, “Fasamahu Musa Shukran” – this day was celebrated as a day of gratitude by Hazrat Musa (as). “Faqala Rasoolullah (s) ‘Nahnu ahakku bi Musa minkum'” – The Prophet (s) said to the Jews in Medina Munawwara, “We are more related to you than you are to Hazrat Musa (as).” “Liyanna musaddiquna wa amiloon bi huqmihi haysu amrana bi iman Muhammad (s) fa amanna bihi” – The reason for this is that Hazrat Musa (as) had ordered the Prophet (s) to believe in the Holy Prophet (s), and if the Muslims believe in him, then our right is greater than that of Hazrat Musa (as). “Fasamahu wa amarabisiami” – Therefore, the Prophet (s) himself had fasted on Ashura Day and ordered the people to fast on this day.
Ummul Mumineen Sayyida Aisha Sidiqa (r) says, “Kana Rasoolullah (s) siyamu yawmi ‘an’a wa yawmi ‘an’a wa yawmi ‘an’a wa yawmi ‘an’a wa yawmi ‘an’a wa yawmi ‘an’a wa yawmi ‘an’a wa yawmi ‘an’a. The Prophet (s) said, “Siyaamu yawmi Ashura’a Inniahtasibu ‘alallahi ‘ayyukaffiru sanatallati qamda.” I believe that the fast on Ashura Day is to forgive the small sins of the past year with the blessings of Allah.
Quraish and Ashura
The Quraish used to change the clothes of Kaaba on Ashura Day, and on this day, the Prophet (s) said, “Ummul Mumineen Sayyida Khadija Dhul Kubra (r) an’ha ka saad nikah.” And on this day, on the 61st of Hijri, the 680th of Iswai, the great grandfathers of the Prophet (s) said to the great grandfathers of the Prophet (s) by calling them by their own letters and messages and made them his companions.
Sayyidina Hussain (r) and his companions and the cruel testimony of his family is a great example of the great humanity and the history of Islam. Sayyidina Hussain (r) is the greatest personality and the greatest personality of the Ahl-e-Bait. It is an honour for you to be the grandson of the Prophet (s), and it is also a great honour that you are the companion of the Prophet (s).
In the era of ignorance, the word Ahl-ul-Bait was used for the people who were living around the Prophet (s), and in the Holy Qur’an, Allah has used the word Ahl-ul-Bait for the people of the house. So, in the era of the Prophet (s), the angels said, “O people of the house!” The word Ahl-ul-Bait was used for the entire family of the Prophet (s).
Ahl-ul-Bait (Family Of Prophet) & Ashura
In Islam, Ahl-ul-Bait means the family of the Prophet (s). This is a fundamental thing, and I am saying this because it is a misunderstanding. The family of the Prophet (s) is the Ahl-ul-Bait. In Surah Ahzab, verse 33, Allah has said, “Allah desires that the people of the house should be deprived of all their wealth.” Allah wants that the people of the house should be deprived of all their wealth.
These words have been used to guide the wives of the Prophet (s) and the wives of the Prophet (s). So, before this sentence, verse 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and after this sentence, verse 33, 34, all the commandments given in these verses are given to the wives of the Prophet (s).
So, in the light of the verses of the Quran and the instructions of the Prophet (s), 29 members of the family of the Prophet (s) are included in the Ahl-ul-Bait. The wives of the Prophet (s) are Umul Mumineen Syeda Khadid ul-Kubra (ra), Syeda Sauda bint Zam’a, Syeda Aisha Siddique bint Siddique Akbar, Syeda Hafsa bint Syedna Farooq-e-Aadam (ra), Syeda Zainab bint Khuzama, Syeda Zainab bint Jahash, Syeda Umm-e-Salama bint Suhail, Syeda Jubairia bint Al-Haris, Syeda Ramla Umm-e-Habiba, bint Syedna Abi Sufyan, Syeda Safia bint Huyai ibn-e-Akhtab, Syeda Maimuna bint Haris, and Syeda Maria Qimtiya, Rizwanullah-e-Alayhinna. All these wives of the Prophet (s) are included in the Ahl-ul-Bait.
Sons, Daughts, Grandsons, and granddaughters in Ahl-ul-Bait in Ashura
Similarly, the three sons and four daughters of the Prophet (s) are also included in the Ahl-ul-Bait. Your eldest son Syedna Qasim, whose name is Tahir, and Syedna Abdullah, whose name is Tayyab, and Syedna Ibrahim, all three of them passed away in their childhood, are also included in the Ahl-ul-Bait. Similarly, your four daughters, Syeda Zainab, who is the wife of Hazrat Abu Al-Aas ibn-e-Rabi, Al-Ummi Al-Quraishi, Syeda Ruqayya, who is the wife of Syedna Usman, Syeda Ummi Kulsum, who is the second wife of Syedna Usman, and Syeda Fatimah Zahra, who is the wife of Syedna Ali Karram, and Syedna Ummi, and two sons of Quraishi. All four of your daughters are also included in the Ahl-ul-Bait.
Six grandsons and four granddaughters are also included in the Ahl-ul-Bait. Please pay attention to the six grandsons.
First, Syedna Ali ibn-e-Abil-Aas, who is the son of Syedna Ali ibn-e-Abil-Aas, was 13 or 14 years old at the time of the conquest of Mecca. The Prophet of Allah had placed him on his blessed shoulders and he was given a great blessing. Due to the name of the Prophet, people started to talk about Hazrat Ali Karram Allah wajahuh, that Hazrat Ali Karram Allah wajahuh was placed on his blessed shoulders. However, it is not like that. Hazrat Ali Karram Allah wajahuh was a young man of 35 or 36 years. So how is it possible that a young man of 35 or 36 years can be placed on the shoulders of a young man of 65 or 66 years who is more blessed than the shoulders of the whole universe? A child is certainly given this job and he was Hazrat Ali ibn-e-Abil-Aas. Due to the name of the Prophet, people started to talk about him and gradually he became famous.
Similarly, a very young son of Hazrat Abu-l-Aas passed away when he was born. These are your second grandsons. The sons of Hazrat Abdullah ibn-e-Usman, who are from Hazrat Ruqayya and Hazrat Hasan ibn-e-Ali, Hazrat Hussain ibn-e-Ali, and Hazrat Muhsin ibn-e-Ali, are also part of your family.
Similarly, the four grandsons of the Prophet are Sayyid-e-Umamah bint-e-A’as and Sayyid-e-Umm-e-Kulsum bint-e-Ali, i.e. she is the daughter of Hazrat Fatima r.a.a. Sayyid-e-Zainab bint-e-Ali, who became the wife of Abdullah ibn-e-Jafar, and Sayyid-e-Ruqayya bint-e-Ali, who passed away when she was a child. Hazrat Fatima named her three daughters after her sisters, Ruqayya, Zainab, and Umm-e-Kulsum. All these people whose names I have mentioned are part of the Prophet’s family.
Hadith-e-Kisa and Ashura
And the Hadith-e-Kisa, the narration of the veil, is also a very historical thing. Umm-e-Mumineen Sayyid-e-A’ash (r.a) says that the Prophet (pbuh), Hazrat Ali (r.a), and Hazrat Fatima Zahra (r.a), and the two noble people, all of them had entered their veil and said
and also said
that these are my Ahl-e-Bait. Based on this sentence, some people have removed the rest of the Ahl-e-Bait from Ahl-e-Bait. Imam Qartabi (r.a) has written in his commentary in the Quran that
after the revelation of the verse
the Prophet (pbuh) prayed for these people.
Allah’s beloved used to like this,
that the Prophet (pbuh) used to like this, that these people should also be included in the Ahl-e-Bait, in the verse in which Allah has said the address to the wives of the Prophet (pbuh), the honor that has been given to the wives of the Prophet (pbuh) through prayer should also be included in the Ahl-e-Bait. Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz Muhaddith (r.a) has explained in the Tawf-e-Isna’a Shariah that the Ummul Muminin were with Hazrat Umm Salama, so he did not take them under the blanket because they were already among the wives of the Prophet (pbuh) and were included in the glad tidings of this verse.
His words are
that he did not take Hazrat Umm Salama because it was already a part of the Tawf-e-Isna’a Shariah. When Hazrat Zaid Ibn Arqam (r.a) in the light of the Hadith, the Ahl-e-Bait also include the Banu Hashim, who are not allowed to be part of the Tawf-e-Isna’a Shariah. They are the Ahl-e-Ali, Ahl-e-Ja’far, Ahl-e-Aqeel, Ahl-e-Abbas, and according to one tradition, Ahl-e-Haris Ibn Abdul Muttalib are also included.
Ahl-e-Sunnah and Ashura
Keeping these words in mind, this is the belief of the Ahl-e-Sunnah Muslims, and this should be the belief of all of you. We do not know, but it should be known that the Ahl-e-Sunnah believe that all the wives of the Prophet (pbuh), all the sons and daughters of the Prophet (pbuh), and all the children who accept the faith of Hazrat Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim are included in the Ahl-e-Bait. For example, Hazrat Abbas Ibn Abdul Muttalib Hashimi and his children, Hazrat Ja’far Ibn Abi Talib and his children, Hazrat Aqeel Ibn Abi Talib and his children, and Sayyiduna Ali (pbuh) and all of his children, who have accepted Islam and who have traveled the world, all of them are included in the Ahl-e-Bait, especially Sayyidina Hasan and Sayyidina Hussain (pbuh), they are the leaders of the Ahl-e-Bait.
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Al-Hasan wa Al-Hussain Sayyida Shababi Ahl-il-Jannah,” those who have accepted Islam and have traveled the world in youth. The leaders of those youths are Al-Hasan and Hussain. And Sayyidina Kuhuul-e-Ahl-il-Jannah, those who have traveled the world in old age. The leaders of those youths are Abu Bakr and Umar. But since they have accepted Islam and will travel the world in youth, they will not be old in Jannah, but young. So the leaders of those youths are the beloved of Allah, the Prophet (pbuh) himself, Sayyidina Hasan and Sayyidina Hussain (pbuh).
The beloved of Allah said about them. Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar is the narrator of this hadith. He says, “These two sons are my flowers in this world.” They are my flowers in this world. Hazrat Anas (ra) said, Imam-e-Tarmazi has narrated this hadith. “O Messenger of Allah (pbuh), O beloved of Allah (pbuh), who is most dear to you among the Ahl-e-Bait?” He said, “Al-Hasan and Hussain.” Hasan and Hussain are my dearest. “And he used to say to Fatima and Sayyidina Fatima (ra), call my sons to me, and he used to stick them together.”
Hazrat Osama ibn Zaid says, the Prophet (pbuh) pointed to Hasan and Hussain (ra). “These two sons are my daughters, and they are sons of my daughter. O Allah, I love them. O Allah, I love them. O Allah, make them your beloved and make them your beloved who loves them.” Alhamdulillah, we Ahl-e-Sunnah, our hearts are filled with their love. One day, about Hasan (ra), the narrator says, “The Prophet of Allah (pbuh) is on the pulpit, and Hasan ibn Ali is on the side of it. Hasan ibn Ali is on the pulpit with the Prophet (pbuh), and Hasan is also on the pulpit. And he will come to him once, and you will look at people once, and you will look at Hasan once, and you will say, ‘This son of mine is the leader, and Allah will make him a rightful partner.'”
This hadith is in Sahih Bukhari, and it is possible that in the coming time, Allah will bring peace between the two groups of Muslims, and the words of Allah’s beloved (pbuh) came true that Sayyidina Muawiyah (ra) and Hazrat Hasan (ra) there was a peace between them, and there was such a peace that the whole Muslim community came under one leadership. Hazrat Ibn Azeb says, “I saw the Prophet of Allah (pbuh) on the pulpit, and I saw the Prophet of Allah (pbuh) on his shoulder, and he said, ‘Allahumma, I love him, Allah, I make him my beloved, he is my beloved, I like him, I love him, Allah, you too make him your beloved.'”
And Sayyidina Husayn (ra) said, “Husayn is mine and I am from Husayn, Allah loves the one who loves Husayn, Allah will make him your beloved.” And Hazrat Abdul Abdulla Ibn Abbas says, “Once it happened that Husayn Ibn Ali was on your shoulder, and a man said, ‘What a rider! Who rides a rider?’ And the Prophet said, ‘What a rider! Who rides a rider?’ And the Prophet said, ‘He is a great rider.’ All these things, the instructions of the Prophet (pbuh), which I am mentioning in front of you. Hazrat Buraida says, ‘The Prophet (pbuh) was giving a sermon, and Hazrat Hassan and Husayn, both are young, and they are in their childhood, and both of them are coming, and they are wearing red shirts, and they fall and get up.’
And the Prophet (pbuh) came down from the pulpit, and he carried them, and he carried them, and he came and sat on the pulpit, and he made them sit here and there, and he said, ‘Allah has said the truth, and the children are a great test. I saw them fall and fall, and I stopped myself, and went to pick them up, because they are my children, my elders and friends. In the same way, one of the great honors of these martyrs of Karbala is that the family of Sayyidina Husayn, and Sayyidina Husayn, of the family of the Prophet. I have explained the Ahl-e-Bait, this word should be explained as well.”
The word Al in the Quran is also used for the people of the nation, in the same way, the word Al is also used for the people of the nation. The blessed instruction of the Prophet (PBUH), “every righteous and pious person of my nation is a special honor to the family of the Prophet and the Ahl-e-Bait of the Prophet. I have heard the Prophet (PBUH) saying, ‘every cause and action will be ended on the Day of Resurrection, but my relationship and my cause will be used on the Day of Resurrection. Siddiq (RA) used to say, and those who are close to the Prophet, ‘I love to be close to the relatives of the Prophet more than to be kind to my relatives.'”
Hazrat Nizayat Ibn Arqam says, the Prophet (PBUH) advised the companions at the time of Ghadeer-e-Khum, and said three times, ‘I remind you of the fear of Allah about my Ahl-e-Bait. Their rights, respect, respect, they should always be in front of you. Like we love the Prophet (PBUH), the same way we love the Ahl-e-Bait. Alhamdulillah we are doing this by the grace of Allah.
The Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘And those who love you, they will not believe until they love you. By Allah and by the close relationship, I swear by that person whose power is in my life, till that time you cannot be called the companions of faith, till you are in the presence of Allah, and for the sake of my relationship, and for the sake of my relationship, you should not love the Ahl-e-Bait.’
The Prophet (PBUH) said to Hazrat Abbas, ‘Wa Allahi la yadkhulu qablamri’n Imanun hatta yuhibbukum lillahi wa liqarabati.’ Harty Abbas complained to the Prophet, and the Prophet said, ‘I swear by Allah, Iman will not enter the heart of that person who is not in love with the Ahl-e-Bait, for the sake of my relationship and for the sake of Allah’s pleasure.’
Because of this love of the Prophet’s family, we are the companions of the Prophet (PBUH), and we express our affection to those who call their companions, and call them as their companions. O’ Prophet of Allah! Allah has commanded us to offer Dhurood to you. How can we offer Dhurood to you? How can we offer Dhurood to you?
Hearing this question, the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) became silent and remained silent for so long that we started wishing that this gentleman had not asked a question, and after a long silence, the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said, ‘Say!’ This is the Dhurood that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) is saying, ‘Say!’ All these rights and virtues belong to those who have the Bai’at and who have faith and who have lived their lives according to the teachings of the Prophet.
Those who have the Nasaab are actually in contact with the Prophet and they are the owners of faith. Just the Nasaab is not enough because Abu Lahab according to the Nasaab is the real uncle of the Prophet. He is purely Hashmi. He is a Muttalabi, a Quraishi, but he did not have faith so he did not join the Ahl-e-Bait. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, in the book of Qanzul-Umaal, in reference to the holy words of the Prophet of Allah (PBUH), ‘Inna ahla baiti haula, Ya rauna anna hum awlanna. Inna ahla baiti haula, Ya rauna anna hum awlanna.’
My Ahl-e-Baits think that they are more worthy than all people. Wa laisa qa dalik. However, this is not the case. This is the sentence which is for me and you. It is the grace of Allah. He said, ‘Inna awliyaa ee minkum al-muttaqoon. Man kaanu wa hai su kaanu. There will be righteous people near me.’ Whoever they are, they will be anywhere. He included all of them in his awliyaa.
The third truth is of the Ahl-e-Baits that we should not let the love of Ahl-e-Baits and the love of Ahl-e-Rasool become the foundation of enmity with the companions of Allah. The sentence which I have said, I repeat it again. That the third truth of the Ahl-e-Baits and the Ahl-e-Rasool is that we should not let the love of Ahl-e-Baits and the love of Ahl-e-Rasool become the foundation of enmity with the companions of Allah.
Because the Ahl-e-Rasool and the Ahl-e-Baits and the companions of Allah are those who love each other and those who have relations and communities with each other and are connected with each other because of the mutual relations. This is a very detailed question because there is not much time in the sermon. But the details of the Ahl-e-Baits and the Ahl-e-Rasool and the companions of Allah who have relations and communities with each other and have relations with each other I will mention that in the next sermon.
But remember that the companions of Allah and the Ahl-e-Rasool have always been in a good relationship. Always. Always have been in a good relationship. Sayyiduna Hussain (Rali Allahu Ta’ala) was born in Madinah on the 4th of Hujur. You are born among the companions. Think about it. Ali had named him Harb. Prophet (PBUH) changed his name and named Hussain.
6 years in the era of Nabawi, 2.5 years in the era of Siddiqui, 10.5 years in the era of Farooqi, 12 years in the era of Osmani, 5 years in the era of Alawi, and half a year in the era of Hassan. The era of the Caliphate of Hassan, the era of the Caliphate of Hassan, the era of the Caliphate of Hassan, the era of the Caliphate of Hassan, and the era of Sayyidina Muawiyah (PBUH) lasting 25 years, 25 years.
In the life of Hazrat Hussain, in the era of Muawiyah lasting 20 years, forgive me. He walked 25 Hajj. If there was an objection on the system, then an incident like Allah would have happened earlier. The relationship of the companions of the Prophet’s family and respect has always been established. Sayyidina Umar and Sayyidina Siddiqui Akbar (Rali Allahu Anhu) passing through the paths, seeing Sayyidina Abbas Ibn-e-Amd al-Muttalib, they would have come down from their chariots, and until they were in their eyes, they would have been respectfully going down from their chariots.
When it did not rain in the era of the Caliphate of Hassan, then Hazrat Umar (Rali Allahu Anhu) requested the uncle of the Prophet, Hazrat Abbas, to come and pray for the rain. You, Hazrat Umar (Rali Allahu Anhu), have left the house and are going to the mosque for prayer.
When the blood fell from the chain of prayer and your clothes were ruined, the Prophet said that this chain should be broken. It was broken. Then Hazrat Abbas (Rali Allahu Anhu) said that Umar, you do not know that this chain was put by the Beloved of Allah. So, Hazrat Umar (Rali Allahu Anhu) went in the state of ‘stay’ and said to Hazrat Abbas that do not put this chain on my back.
In the era of the Caliphate of Farooqi, the clothes and the clothes were sent from the court of Yemen and were distributed among the companions. Later it was found that Hazrat Hassan did not meet the Prophet. So, Hazrat Umar (Rali Allahu Anhu) sent the message of Yemen and for both these people to get the clothes and the clothes ready. He gave this order.
When the clothes were ready and they were worn, then he said, “Now, I am at peace. I am at peace. I am happy.”
My friends and my elders, are there relations between them? Hazrat Fatima (Rali Allahu Anhu) said that who is buying the wedding clothes of Hazrat Umar (Rali Allahu Anhu), Hazrat Usman (Rali Allahu Anhu), and who are the witnesses of the wedding? Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Usman, Hazrat Abdul Rehman Ibn Awf, Hazrat Saad and Hazrat Talha (Rali Allahu Anhu). Hazrat Umar Salma and Hazrat Ashar (Rali Allahu Anhu) had ordered the soil from the valley of Bataha and had made the house of Hazrat Fatima to be covered with soil.
When Hazrat Fatima fell ill, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Allah is the greatest), Ahliya, Asma bint Umais and Umar’s wife. My friends and my elders, this is certain that Hazrat Hussain (Rali Allahu Anhu) was objected after Hazrat Muawiyah (Rali Allahu Anhu) about the leadership.
The people of Kufa got the opportunity to write to you and send you a message that you should come to our place. You are the people of the leadership. People are waiting for you. People are waiting for you. People are waiting for you. People are waiting for you.
Their minds are not at peace with anyone except you. Please come soon. We will do your Bai’at.
You came from Madinah to Mecca. You stayed here for four months. You made a pilgrimage for Hajj. But on the 8th, you changed the pilgrimage to Umrah’s pilgrimage and went to Umrah. You sent Hazrat Muslim bin Aqeel first. People did their Bai’at. But when the government of time became strict, they left all and martyred Hazrat Muslim bin Aqeel. Hazrat Hussain (Rali Allahu Anhu) wanted to go back from there when he received the news of Hazrat Muslim bin Aqeel’s martyrdom. But when he reached Karbala on the insistence of Hazrat Muslim’s (PBUH), then he saw that you are the same people who wrote letters to Hazrat Hussain. He took his name. “And he said to him, ‘Know them in Karbala, O Shaheed ibn Rin’i, O Hijar ibn Abhur, O Qais ibn Ash’as, O Yazid ibn Al-Haris, Write to me that I am the sign of the green and green and the dark. You did not write to me and call me.’ This is not the war between disbelief and Islam. We will not call it. If both sides were there, then it is certain that they were Muslims.
But the knowledge is that among the people who martyred Hazrat Hussain (Rali Allahu Anhu) in this cruel martyrdom, those people were certainly involved who called you here. This is a historical situation. But we should never take it to this stage that on the basis of this, the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) may be humiliated and their ignorance and their disrespect and such words or such words should be used that the companions do not have any sign. Wa khurda wa nal. Thank you.
